How
to Meditate? - Mental Screen
Meditation

Learn
how to use mental screen
meditation to exercise and
improve your daily
activities.
Mental
screen meditation has some
similarities with visualization
meditation.
The difference is that
visualization meditation is
related to passive visualization
and relaxation. The goal of
Mental Screen meditation is to
establish the inner stage for
mental exercising and testing of
skills or activities that you
intend to use in real world.
Mental
screen is the mental tool for
problem solving or exercising.
Before visualizing the mental
screen, sit straight, breath
slowly and deeply and close your
eyes. Position your eyeballs as
if you are looking slightly
above, around 30 degrees. The
space that you "see"
in front of yourself is the
space for the mental screen. The
mental screen should take a
whole field of vision, including
the space left and right. Do not
use your eyelids for the mental
screen. It should be positioned
beyond. Imagine it as if it is
placed 1-2 meters in front of
you.
You
can use your mental screen for
many purposes. You can mentally
train the sport techniques. You
can learn the school lessons.
You can rehearse the business
presentation, prior to the
meeting. If you have a certain
problem, try to visualize it on
your mental screen. Try to find
the root cause of the problem.
As
different colors influence our
mind in different ways, you can
use it for a background colors.
By default you should use white
color. If you want to intensify
the process use red color. The
good trick for intensifying the
experience of the color is using
the real color object before the
visualization. For example take
a red cloth and look at it for a
1-2 minutes. Then close your
eyes and visualize your mental
screen. You will visualize red
background very easily.
Strong
visualization is the key of
success for use of mental
screen. Whatever you exercise on
your mental screen, it will be
trained and learned better if
you have a strong visualization.
The strength of visualization
comes with practice. At the end
of the exercise clean the screen
of all objects and exit the
meditation with a few full
breathing cycles.
